Target Audience: Mental health related program providers
The following COUNTIES ( Atascosa, Dimmit, Frio, Karnes, La Salle, Maverick, Wilson, and Zavala) schools are serving students with significant and growing mental health needs, yet many school personnel may not fully understand the mental health services available through their Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) or how students can access them.
This session will provide an overview of the services offered by Camino Real Community Services, while helping school personnel better understand the pathway to care. Participants will learn about the referral and intake process, available programs and services, crisis response resources, and opportunities for collaboration between schools and LMHAs to better connect students and families with the support they need.
This session will be offered quarterly. While the core content will remain consistent, each session may provide different opportunities for discussion based on participant questions, experiences, and areas of interest. Participants are welcome to attend one session or join us for any or all of the quarterly offerings.
