Monarch: Stop Letting Your Student Show You Up
Your student is flying through the Monarch. You’re still trying to figure out which button does what. We should probably fix that.
The Monarch is a powerful multiline braille device that opens up new possibilities for accessing digital content, graphics, braille, and classroom materials. But if your student is already running circles around you while you're thinking, “Wait… how did you do that?”—this training is for you.
Join us for a hands-on introduction to the Monarch designed for CTVIs and other professionals who want to move from “I have one of those” to “I actually know how to use this thing.”
We'll explore the basics of navigating the Monarch, accessing content, using its features, and thinking about how the device can support students across academic and Expanded Core Curriculum activities.
No need to be a tech expert. No shame if you've been avoiding that Monarch sitting in your equipment closet. Bring your questions, bring your device if you have one, and come ready to get your hands on it.
Because let's be honest...
Your student shouldn't be the one teaching you how to use the Monarch.
This will be a VIRTUAL event. It is recommended that the CTVI and their student attend the training together.
**CTVI** Register yourself online. The student information will be requested from you after registration. A release will need to be obtained to have your student on camera.
This session is free to members of the Special Education Cooperative
