Registration for this session is exclusive to employees of ESC Region 20 school districts, charter schools, private schools, and ESC Region 20 School Health Cooperative members. Non-eligible registrants will be unenrolled. Individuals outside Region 20 LEAs and School Health Cooperative should reach out to their regional Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) VHSS Program Coordinator for local training options.
This session will offer training for Vision and Hearing Screening Recertification through the Texas Department of State Health Services for individuals who conduct vision and hearing screenings in school settings. Certifications expire every five years and may be renewed through this training. Individuals must be considered current in their certification to attend a recertification training. Prerequisites: Prior Vision and Hearing Certification (Participants must bring proof of prior certification to the day of the training.) If available, participants are requested to bring an audiometer to this workshop to verify registration and calibration information.
