This yearlong program supports geography’s big ideas and practices within contemporary geography. Participants will explore the themes of population, human-environment interaction, culture, economics, and physical systems. Instructors will model the use of geographic tools to study geographic phenomena and provide teachers with the opportunity to do geography and explore concepts globally and locally. Sessions will highlight instructional strategies and resources to help participants understand how to support geographic learning in their classroom.
