ESC-20 provides training, technical assistance, and resources that support programs serving students with low incidence disabilities (severe and profound cognitive disabilities, medically fragile, deaf/blind).

This session has been cancelled. Communication should be the core of every classroom environment. You will learn to embed communication into your classroom  when working with PPCD or elementary students while being provided tools, supports, and example activities for teachers who wish to create an environment promoting communication. Promoting communication not only increases language, both receptive and expressive, it can also aid in decreasing undesired behaviors. Creating a communication rich classroom can help the student become more social, more independent, and, of course, a better communicator. Students who currently do and do not have communication systems will benefit from a communication system and a language rich classroom.
