Ethical Issues in School Consultation



ESC-20 provides resources, training and technical assistance for evaluators. Quarterly contact group meetings for LSSP’s and Educational Diagnosticians are also provided.

Join Dr. Andrea Ogonosky as she presents this session that will focus on the realities of consultation (indirect service delivery) for supporting student needs and the factors affecting outcomes such as systems-level, personal, and training issues.  Additionally, the LSSP as a consultant must adhere to ethical responsibilities as outlined in the NASP and APA Standards about the student being the primary client as well as keeping an eye on the well-being of all persons affected by the consultation.  Several models of consultation will be discussed in this context including:  consultee-centered case consultation, behavioral consultation, and process consultation.
