Participants will understand the foundation of instruction focused on second language acquisition. English Language Proficiency Standards resources will be thoroughly investigated for use in the classroom and groups will cooperatively brainstorm ideas for implementing strategies focused on English learners in any bilingual/ESL setting. Time will be spent understanding the importance of having efficient content and language objectives for the enhancement of English learners’ overall comprehension of content and language instruction. The ELPS Linguistic Instructional Alignment Guide and the ELPS Instructional Tool will be provided to all participants.
