This workshop focuses on data based decision making for behavior. Participants will explore the relationship between a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and progress monitoring. As part of the data collection process, we will focus on creating and implementing effective, appropriate interventions based on what the data indicates. Participants will leave with samples to customize for their students. We will discuss how to choose the most appropriate parameter of measurement and collection strategy, and how to analyze trends across various time intervals and the use of data to analyze, design and evaluate effective interventions. This workshop is designed to benefit all students with behavioral challenges, whether they receive special education services or are identified through Response to Intervention (RtI).
