Trauma and Mental Illness: Effective Intervention Strategies To Help Students Succeed
ESC-20 School Health Program provides training and technical assistance to school districts in the comprehensive development of health programs.
Important Session Information:
This workshop will address the relationship between trauma and mental health. Participants will learn about the various types of trauma individuals can experience, how trauma impacts children differently than adults, and the impact trauma has on the learning and developing brain. Intervention strategies that can be used in the classroom to help student succeed will be discussed.
