Best Practices in Transition: Critical Components Related to Educating Adolescents With Autism

ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance for families and professionals working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a variety of school settings.

Important Session Information:

Transition planning from school to adulthood is pivotal in the lives of all students.  For a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) transition of any kind can be challenging and the transition from school to the world of adulthood can seem even more so. However, with thoughtful planning and appropriate accommodations, the transition process for a student with autism can be less disorienting and confusing and infinitely more successful.

This full day workshop will provide proactive and creative strategies that specifically address the behavioral and educational needs of students with ASD to achieve a higher probability of success and for students to reach their desired post school outcomes.
