Motivation hinges on students' perception of their abilities to succeed or fail. Research has established that if students are successful about 70% of the time they will continue to be engaged. Participants will learn practical cross-content area strategies, with concrete examples of how to implement these strategies in the classroom in order to increase intrinsic motivation and engagement.
