Important Session Information:

Mental Health and Teen Suicide is a difficult topic to discuss in schools, but conversation amongst educators surrounding this vital issue is the first essential step toward prevention.  In this training, we will review current best practices and relevant research regarding students who self-injure and are at-risk for developing suicidal behavior.  We will also discuss how best to serve these students during the school day.  Local and regional resources will be explored.  Participants will be taught strategies for student and staff discussion, risk assessment, and postvention techniques.  Make sure to bring your local policy regarding working with students in crisis to share and collaborate with fellow helping professionals, trainers will allot time to ponder, share, and present solutions.
