Accountability
Significant Disproportionality: Special Education Indicators
ESC-20 provides training on the Accountability systems in Texas.
Leadership Effectiveness
School Climate
Use of Quality Data to Drive Instruction
Important Session Information:
This session is designed to take Special Education Directors, Administrators and Accountability personnel through the Significant Disproportionality calculations used in the new PBMAS and Data Validation-Discipline indicators. The opportunity to work through these calculations (not too many!) and see how the risk ratios are affected by both the "target" and "all other" risks, may help attendees anticipate issues. With the expertise and tools taken from this session, effective conversations and planning in your districts will prepare you to stay compliant and avoid the penalties of being identified as significantly disproportionate in representation, placement or discipline.
