Description:
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is offering administrators an overview of the instructional components highlighted in the Mathematics Achievement Academies for Grade 2 or Grade 3 that their teachers attended or will attend.
The overview is designed to allow administrators at eligible campuses to
-
identify mathematics content and effective and systematic instructional practices in the Mathematics Achievement Academies as outlined by the Texas Legislature;

review hands-on activities designed to engage teachers in grade-level mathematics, appropriate formative assessment strategies, and professional discourse;

reflect upon ways teachers have transferred learning to practice in their classrooms; and
-
determine evidence that students are being impacted by teacher attendance at a Mathematics Achievement Academy.
The session will be conducted as a face-to-face with the option to attend through a zoom meeting. Below are the Zoom meeting details.
