G/T Online - 6 hour update - Research Skills for G/T Teachers



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:


In this e-course, participants learn about assessment used to measure student growth and the quality of a district’s services for the gifted. Participants will learn about the Texas Performance Standards Project, and how districts can use it to ensure that gifted students are achieving all that they’re capable of and that districts services are helping gifted students reach the goals established in the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students. NOTE: This session can count for a G/T Day 3, 4, or 5 or 6-Hour Update if not previously taken
