Important Session Information:


This institute will focus on understanding and implementing a Balanced Literacy framework in the K-2 ELAR classroom. Components and topics to be covered include interactive read alouds, shared reading, guided reading, interactive writing, literacy stations, classroom management, and progress monitoring. Participants will learn ways to incorporate grade-level TEKS and provide appropriate levels of support while engaging students (from struggling to advanced readers) in authentic reading and writing opportunities.
