Dyslexia Handbook, 2018 Update, Part 1: Dyslexia Characteristics & Screening (Winter 2018)



ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance for professionals serving student with dyslexia. Students with dyslexia usually experience difficulties with other language skills such as spelling, writing, and pronouncing words.

Important Session Information:


This session will review Chapters 1 and 2 of the Dyslexia Handbook, 2018 Update.  We will explore information about the characteristics and risk factors of dyslexia, as well as screening requirements for all students in Kindergarten and first grade.  We will also examine parts of Chapter 5 to learn about the characteristics and risk factors of dysgraphia.  Participants will receive a copy of the Dyslexia Handbook, 2018 Update.
