This Career Preparation Teacher Training workshop is designed to meet the requirements of Texas Academic Code (19 TAC Chapter 231) requiring school districts to ensure that each CTE teacher has completed "...appropriate training in state and federal requirements regarding work-based learning and safety...".
This six-hour, enhanced, interactive training program will help participants understand and apply current rules and statue from Texas Education Code (TEC), the United States Department of Labor (DOL), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
This fast-paced, interactive workshop is appropriate for CTE teachers who are new to Practicum, Career Preparation and Work-Based Learning instructional settings and is an excellent refresher for veteran teachers and CTE Administrators who wish to "sharpen your saw".
Each session enrollment is strictly limited to 30 participants. Participant resources include a binder, interactive forms and tons of teacher resources.
