Federal regulations require local educational agencies (LEAs), which includes ISDs and Open-Enrollment Charter Schools, to maintain effective control over, and accountability for, all funds, property, and other assets and assure they are used solely for authorized purposes. In addition, LEAs must have written procedures for determining the allowability of costs in accordance with Federal Cost Principles and the terms and conditions of the federal award.
Learning Objectives of this workshop:
- Understand the Cost Principles applicable to all federal awards
- Review the Special Education Consolidated Grant Application Program Guidelines
- Collaborate with participants on best practices for determining the allowability of costs
Lunch on your own.
CPE/CEU INFORMATION for CPAs and TASBO-Certified Participants:
Specialized credit hours (CPE for CPAs and CEU for TASBO-Certified participants) will not be awarded for this workshop, due to the topic. Instead, all participants will receive a Connect20 certificate of attendance. The Connect20 certificate should not be used to report credit hours to TSBPA or TASBO since the hours on the certificate do not align with the requirements of TSBPA and TASBO.
