A Systematic Approach to Teaching Spelling



ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance for professionals serving student with dyslexia. Students with dyslexia usually experience difficulties with other language skills such as spelling, writing, and pronouncing words.

Important Session Information:


Participants will learn how the Scientific Spelling curriculum engages students in reflective thought about language and teaches them how to spell. A suggested weekly schedule is outlined in the teacher’s manual, which includes five sections: Phonology, Regular Words, Rule Words, Irregular Words, and Procedures. Scientific Spelling supplements any existing spelling curriculum.

Participants will receive the Scientific Spelling Teacher's Manual as well as one month of access to Neuhaus Education Center's online course.

NOTE:  Participants who register by March 22 will receive access to the online course by April 16, 2019.
