Use of Quality Data to Drive Instruction

Important Session Information:

As we monitor progress of our students, collecting and connecting behavior data is essential to ensure that behavior interventions are effective. Progress monitoring is a scientifically-based practice that is used to assess students’ performance and evaluate the effectiveness of instruction and interventions. Participants in this workshop will learn how to identify the targeted behaviors so it can be measured objectively.

We will discuss how to choose the most appropriate parameter of measurement and collection strategy, and how to analyze trends across various time intervals and the use of data to analyze, design and evaluate effective interventions. This workshop is designed to benefit all students with behavioral challenges, whether they receive special education services or are identified through Response to Intervention.
