Important Session Information:


Mental health and teen suicide is a difficult topic to discuss in schools, but conversation among educators surrounding this vital issue is the first essential step toward prevention.  In this training, participants will review current best practices and relevant research regarding students who self-injure and are at risk for developing suicidal  behavior.  Participants will discuss how best to serve students during the school day and explore local and regional support services.  Participants will experience strategies for student and staff discussion, risk assessment, and postvention techniques.
