Make and Take: Targeting Reading Deficits Through Small Group Intervention Across Grade Levels



ESC-20 provides training and technical support related to inclusive services for students with disabilities to gain access to the general curriculum. These supports provide strategies so students with disabilities are actively involved and progress within the general curriculum and on state assessments.

Important Session Information:


This interactive session will guide participants through identifying individual classroom decoding intervention needs and allow for collaboration with peers to develop and build multi-sensory literacy stations, centers and small group activities that target basic reading needs for struggling students. There will be a special focus on specializing instruction for students who have an identified reading disability. 

Participants will receive a copy of Judith Birsh's book entitled MULTISENSORY TEACHING of Basic Language Skills and all needed intervention activity materials

Participants are encouraged to bring personal laptops or tablets that will allow access to internet based sites.
