Who is eligible for Coaching Workshop?
Target audience: preK and kindergarten coaches
- Actively coaching in preK/K classrooms
- ISDs/Charter preK Coaches
- Head Start
This hands-on, interactive workshop will provide three days of coaching training from theory to practice. Participants will learn on day one about the successful TSR model for coaching cycles and develop a thorough understanding of the role of a coach in actively guiding reflective teaching practices.
On day 2 participants will be introduced to specific data driven tools on the CLI Engage platform to support teacher change including professional development courses, teacher and student progress monitoring and use of demonstration videos and scripted lessons that teachers can practice domain activities.
On the third day, using learned coaching competencies and strategies, the participants will learn how to put it all together: providing feedback, setting goals and continuing cycles of coaching to support teacher improvement and increase student outcomes.
