Important Session Information:

Social and emotional development has often been labeled the "missing piece" of our education system. The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides an opportunity for districts to rethink their goals and policies that are in place.  Under this law, education leaders have greater flexibility to define student success and develop comprehensive that take into account ALL aspects of children's learning and development, including social-emotional skills.

This one-day workshop will be led by Hilary Simon and Jason Littllefield of the Austin ISD SEL Department. Simon and Littlefield helped build the mindfulness programs within Austin ISD and work with educators across the state to help them cultivate more peaceful, respectful, and successful learning environments within their classrooms.

This workshop is open to educators from across the State of Texas and beyond! We firmly believe that SEL and Mindfulness are crucial topics for all educators to consider in today's world. We look forward to seeing you there!
