The Teacher Leadership Academy (TLA) has been in place with Alamo Heights ISD since 2013-2014. It is designed for merging teacher leaders who serve in various roles within their district. The academy focuses on developing and strengthening leadership-based competencies, enabling teacher leaders to positively impact student achievement and promotes collegial professional growth. Due to interest from districts outside of ESC-20, it was decided that the trainer would share what takes place in this academy and share the files used. The academy bases its work on Awakening the Sleeping Giant by Marilyn Katzenmeyer and Gayle Moller. There will time for a Q&A after the session. We look forward to sharing the great work we have been doing the past four years in partnership with Alamo Heights ISD.
