Contextualized Instruction: Making it Work for Your Clients and You @NISD



The Adult Education & Literacy Alamo Consortium, led by Education Service Center, Region 20,  helps adults in advancing their education. Our Consortium consists of 8 providers: ESC-20, Alamo Colleges, Each One Teach One, North East ISD, Northside ISD, Restore Education, San Antonio ISD, and South West Texas Junior College. 
 


Important Session Information:


During this six-hour, interactive workshop, participants will learn about and explore best practices for contextualizing lesson plans around several career clusters, and develop and write contextualized lesson plans for career pathways courses. The target audience includes ABE, ASE, and IET instructors. The workshop will also integrate career skills to help improve basic skills using authentic specific career curriculum. This session may also benefit ESL teachers who want to integrate contextualized curriculum into instruction to support career exploration.
