Child Sexual Abuse; The other three Rs, recognizing, responding and reporting

ESC-20 School Health Program provides training and technical assistance to school districts in the comprehensive development of health programs. 

Important Session Information:

Every school has children who either have been sexually abused or are currently being sexually abused. In this workshop you will learn the physical and behavioral indicators of a sexual abuse victim. In addition, the course will cover: Reasons why children do and don't tell about being sexually abused; the Stages of Molestation, the "outcry witness" rule; how to respond to an outcry, guidance on interviewing children at school, laws pertaining to reporting child abuse; Teen pregnancy laws; information about children who molest other children and what to do in a school setting; and behavioral indicators of Pedophiles working/volunteering in the school.  The session will be led by Barbara Marek, Executive Director for the Sexual Abuse Awareness Training Program.
