This session will discuss best practices in evidence-based assessment for young children who are non-English speakers, incipient bilinguals, or English language learners (ELLs). We will discuss standardized testing, case and language history tools, language sampling/observations, and alternative assessment strategies, with the goal of having assessment lead smoothly to intervention decisions.
