G/T 6 hour update: Underrepresented Populations in GT (Medina Valley ISD)

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

In keeping with the goal of equity and excellence in G/T Education in Texas, it is imperative to be aware that statewide percentages of various populations do not mirror percentages of the general population. Take a look at these statistics and look at what might be done to narrow the gaps in your district.

This training can be taken as a G/T Day 4, 5, or 1.  This training can also take the place of a G/T 6 hour update if not previously taken.

The training will take place at
