CANCELED: Including Students with Hearing Loss in the Classroom
ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to programs serving students who are deaf or hard of hearing, including assisting programs meet the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing across the continuum of placement options.

Important Session Information:
In this session you will learn the basics of hearing loss and the potential impact that hearing loss has on language development and academic success. You will develop a basic understanding of types and degrees of hearing loss as well as become familiar with Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT). You will gain a better understanding of the relationship between classroom teacher, deaf education teacher, interpreter, and the student. You will be able to identify and implement accommodations appropriate for students with hearing loss.
