ESC-20 provides resources, training and technical assistance for evaluators. Quarterly contact group meetings for LSSP’s and Educational Diagnosticians are also provided.

Important Session Information:


Providing counseling as a related service has great potential for addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of eligible children and adolescents.  This workshop, presented by Dr. Jon Lasser from Texas State University, reviews the legal foundation of related services and the specific parameters around counseling as a related service.  A significant portion of time will be allotted to the development of high quality counseling Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participants will also learn how to communicate the nature of counseling as a related service to other school personnel.  Special attention will be given to prevention-oriented activities and evidence-based counseling interventions with school-age populations.
