Important Session Information:

This session is designed to help Special Education Leaders develop the written procedures that inform local education agency (LEA) leadership, staff and community how specific processes will be completed. These procedures not only form the basis of compliance and performance within the special education program, but the thoughtful development and publication of these procedures keeps the special education program on track by keeping everyone informed of the proper way to execute policy. The focus will be on how to determine the who, what, where, when and how of each program area, focusing on what position is responsible for each step and what time frame they have to complete these steps. Utilizing the templates available in the administrative pages of the Legal Framework and the supporting material provided within the templates, session attendees will learn how to break down the procedures and cover the key components of well written operating guidelines.

Attendees need to have the Charter's or District's Legal Framework login ID and password in order to access the operating guideline templates.
