Northstar Training



The Adult Education & Literacy Alamo Consortium, led by Education Service Center, Region 20,  helps adults in advancing their education. Our Consortium consists of 8 providers: ESC-20, Alamo Colleges, Each One Teach One, North East ISD, Northside ISD, Restore Education, San Antonio ISD, and South West Texas Junior College. 
 


Important Session Information:


The Northstar Digital Literacy Testing site offers basic computer-skills testing and terminology in English. This training will show different ways to incorporate Northstar Digital Literacy into your AEL program and classrooms, along with ways students can use the certificates to build their resumes. The intended audience is AEL staff, especially Career Navigator and Instructional Coaches, who are involved in implementing Northstar. Topics include: Intro to Northstar certificates, curriculum, student experiences, and implementation in both ESL and HSE.
