Join Dr. Robert Pennington in this powerful workshop! Teachers and technical assistance providers will be provided with an opportunity to assess their programs using the Autism and Low Incidence Classroom Observation Tool (ALCOT) and develop plans for taking their programming to next level. This session will be helpful for new and experienced teacher alike, as participants will leave the session with an implementation plan for making their programs stronger.
Robert Pennington PhD BCBA-D is an Associate Professor and the Lake and Edward J Snyder, Jr. Distinguished Scholar in Special Education. He has over 25 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, their families and teachers. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2010 and since has published numerous articles and book chapters related to working with persons with ASD and intellectual disability. Robert is passionate about the dissemination of research-based practice and has provided hundreds of refereed and invited presentations to researchers, practitioners, and families. He also currently sits on multiple journal editorial and advisory boards. His current interests involve behavior analytic communication instruction, expanding students’ repertoires in written expression, and improving educational programming for students with severe disabilities.
