Federal Programs
Supplement Not Supplant Methodology: What Do I Need and How Do I Get There

ESC-20  provides training and technical assistance to districts/charter schools in the areas of: Federal Program Updates, Completion of the Consolidated Application SAS and Performance Based Monitoring.

Important Session Information:

If you are a district or charter school that receives federal funds, Section 1118(b)(1) applies to your organization: All LEAs shall use federal funds, received under this part only to supplement the funds that would, in the absence of such federal funds, be made available from state and local sources for the education of students participating in programs assisted under this part, and not to supplant such funds.

In order to demonstrate compliance with the law, all LEAs who receive federal funds must have a Supplemental Funds Test methodology in place.

This session is meant to be a working session toward compliance by helping you evaluate your existing methodology, or helping you develop that methodology from existing practices.

It is highly encouraged that business office personnel attend with program managers.
