Deep Dives is designed for elementary teachers who are already utilizing the Code.org CS Fundamentals curriculum. This session is open to educators with experience teaching CS Fundamentals–both those that have, and have not, previously attended the Code.org Intro workshop!
You will learn:
- The details, philosophy, values, and rationale behind how CS Fundamentals is structured
- The intended approach to teaching CS Fundamentals, including specific classroom practices
- Personalized strategies to bring more computer science to their students
You will leave with:
- Strategies for addressing roadblocks to implementation
- Ideas for fostering a strong classroom rapport that nurtures all kinds of learners
- A deepened sense of community with other CS Fundamentals teachers
After registering in the ESC20 Connect20 system, you must go into the Code.org system and register for this session there. Your registration is not complete until you have registered in both system. Information will come in your confirmation about the Code.org registration requirement.
