Counseling Services Alamo Area College Access and Completion Summit
Professional development for counselors is aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Standards and Competencies and with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Comprehensive, Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program Standards (Pre-K - Grade 12). Topics will be addressed to assist school counselors in developing the four components in their school counseling program: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning and System Support.

The fourth annual Alamo Area College Access and Completion Summit is scheduled for Friday February 22, 2019 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at University of the Incarnate Word, Student Engagement Center, San Antonio, Texas. Regional educational partners, ISDs, colleges and universities, city and county leaders, industry leaders and employers, and community-based organizations have come together to forge pathways, seamless transitions, and “warm handoffs” to promote greater student success in the region.
The Summit’s program and theme: Pathways and Workforce will provide opportunities for area advisors, counselors, and leaders to come together to discuss, identify and begin to address gaps in student pathways.
Registration will close on February 8, 2019. to adequately prepare for lunch.
