Important Session Information:


CANCELED - This 5-day institute will focus on understanding and implementing a Balanced Literacy framework in the 3-5 ELAR classroom. Components and topics to be covered include interactive read alouds and literature discussion, performance (shared) reading, guided reading, literature circles, writing about reading, phonics, spelling, and word study. Participants will learn ways to incorporate grade-level TEKS and provide appropriate levels of support while engaging students (from struggling to advanced readers) in authentic reading and writing tasks.
