Advanced Academics G/T Day 5 - Creativity In the Classroom
The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Information:
How can you get your students past regurgitation of the material? This session is designed to provide an overview of creative thinking skills and strategies for integrating creative thinking into the curriculum. Techniques to be shared include divergent questioning and creative problem solving as well as ideas for making assignments more open ended.
NOTE: This session can count for a G/T Day 4, Day 5 or 6-Hour Update if not previously taken.
It is recommended that you bring charged technology to interact with training documents electronically.
