Recent advances in neuroscience (how the brain works) provides Educators with the opportunity to focus on how the brain learns. In this workshop, we will explore how the typically developing brain learns versus how the asynchronous G/T brain learns. Research also shows how the 67% of students experience childhood trauma, which affects development and the way all brains learn. We will also learn how to create a trauma-aware classroom culture that will benefit all learners.
Please bring charged technology to the session to interact with the course materials.
This session can take the place of a G/T Day 4 or 5 if not previously taken. This course can be taken as a G/T 6 hour update.
