Challenging G/T students to engage in Science content in manners that promotes application of knowledge/skills in perplexing manners can be a challenge. The Global Goals (Sustainable Goals) are an outstanding way to engage students in contextually relevant instruction that connects to the TEKS. Participants will apply accommodations to instruction such as Depth/Complexity icons, Content Imperatives, and the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP) to map out a unit of study that is current with the new expectations of the G/T State Plan (rev June 2019). Be prepared to challenge your thinking and create an environment for students to spark change in their communities.
This session can be a G/T 6 hour update or a Day 4 or 5 if not previously taken.
