Canceled - G/T 6 hour update: Bridging Social Emotional Learning and G/T Programming with Innovative Application of Tech Resources

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

Social/Emotional learning (SEL) is a complicated but necessary component of G/T programming. G/T students have unique SEL needs and students should retain their identity and communicate their vision in curriculum. Come explore tech tools that serve as a bridge between the voice of our students and academic goals for students.

Please bring charged technology to the session that you will use to create activities for your students.  It is preferred that you bring a laptop over a mobile device.

This training can take the place of a G/T 6 hour update or a G/T day 3,4, or 5 if not previously taken.

This training is free for members of the G/T Coop.
