Special education attorney Elvin W. Houston will provide the latest legal guidance for public school district assessment personnel concerning the important role of assessment personnel in guiding Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee decisions. Through Mr. Houston’s experiences and case law examples his presentation will benefit new assessment personnel as well as experienced practitioners seeking to guide ARD committees in decisions of eligibility, placement, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and ARD committee meeting decorum in the face of challenging circumstances.
