ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to district transition contacts and vocational adjustment coordinators in the development and implementation of effective transition services and inter-agency collaboration.

Important Session Information:


This session is open to all Districts and Charter schools and will include information regarding the state required elements of transition planning in Texas, which begins at age 14, as well as the IDEA mandates for transition. Agenda includes:

  • Self-determination,
  • IDEA,
  • Federal and State legislation
  • Transition assessments,
  • Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Post-Secondary goals,
  • courses of study, and
  • summary of performance (SOP). 

Participants will also have an opportunity to review current information on State Performance Plan (SPP) indicator 13.
