ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance for teachers of students with disabilities ages 3-5 years (birth - 5 years for students with visual and/or hearing impairments).

Due to ESC-20 Maples Conference Center being closed during COVID-19,  this session will now be offered via Zoom. The zoom meeting will take place on:

June 18th 1:00-3:00 PM

June 19th 9:00-11:00 AM

June 23rd 9:00-11:00 AM 

In order to receive credit for the session, you must attend all three days. The zoom link will be sent to you through Connect 20 after completing your registration. 

According to research, joint attention is defined as "a foundational non-verbal, social communicative milestone that fails to develop naturally in children diagnosed with autism".

This  workshop will introduce participants to joint attention by discussing components of joint attention development as well as classroom and teacher strategies to increase joint attention skills in students with autism spectrum disorder.
