COVID-19 Adaptation: Out of an abundance of caution, this session will be offered virtually. Due to this change, dates have changed and the format has changed. Participants will receive online access to the Scientific Spelling content and will complete it at their convenience by July 22. They will then participate in a 3-hour Zoom on July 22 to review and consider the practical applications.
Participants must have a desktop or laptop to participate, along with an adequate internet connection. Active participation of various forms will be required during the session in order to obtain course credit.

Participants will learn how the Scientific Spelling curriculum engages students in reflective thought about language and teaches them how to spell. A suggested weekly schedule is outlined in the teacher’s manual, which includes five sections: Phonology, Regular Words, Rule Words, Irregular Words, and Procedures. Scientific Spelling supplements any existing spelling curriculum.
Participants will receive the Scientific Spelling Teacher's Manual as well as one month of access to Neuhaus Education Center's online course.
