During this training, participants will be introduced to the Cognitive Assessment System: 2nd Edition (CAS2) and its utility as an effective assessment tool. Participants will be introduced to the Planning, Attention, Simultaneous, and Successive (PASS) theory and how it is evaluated using the CAS2. Review will be made of content, administration, scoring, and interpretation of the CAS2. After learning how to use the CAS2, participants will complete interactive, cooperative group activities related to the CAS2. Participants will be proficient in the administration CAS2 at the conclusion of the presentation.
By the conclusion of this training, participants will have acquired the following practical skills that can be directly applied in the educational and/or private setting(s):
- Explain Planning, Attention, Simultaneous, and Successive (PASS) theory
- Describe of the CAS2 and its essential features
- Gain familiarity with CAS2 administration, scoring, and reporting
- Explain the interpretation process of the CAS2 using case-study examples
