Field Supervisor Observation Training is training developed for providing guidelines and instruction in delivering structuresand practices for field supervisor observation visitsto teacher candidatesparticipating in clinical teaching or internship experiences through educator preparation programs (EPPs).
This training wasdeveloped to meetthe requirements of recently adoptedTexas AdministrativeCode(TAC) §228.35(g).This section ofTACrequiresthat “supervision of eachcandidate shall beconductedwith thestructured guidance and regular ongoing support of an experienced educatorwhohas been trained as a field supervisor. Supervision provided onor after September1,2017, mustbe provided byafield supervisorwho has completed TEA-approved observation training.”
