G/T 6 hour update: Texas Performance Standards Projects (Randolph Field)



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:


This session focuses on the expectation of the Texas State Plan around the expectation of G/T research and product development.   During the session participants are provided with learning about the Texas Performance Standards (TPSP) and how to use the rubrics to measure growth. Participants will go through a TPSP task to get a feeling of how to coach students through research projects for maximum growth and rigor. 

This session is only for teachers from Randolph Field ISD.  The session will take place in the District Board Room

**Participants need charged technology for this session** NOTE: This session can count for a G/T Day 4, Day 5 or 6-Hour Update if not previously taken
